Applied Math/Numerical Analysis Seminar
3:05-4:05pm Mondays, LCB 323
This is a joint seminar in applied mathematics and numerical
analysis. Examples of topics that are discussed include material science,
fluid dynamics, nonlinear analysis, mathematical finance, approximation theory,
fast algorithms, numerical simulation of PDEs, and numerical linear algebra.
The seminar is currently being organized by Grady Wright. Past organizers include
Jingyi Zhu, Mark Lewis, David Eyre, Andrej Cherkaev, Klaus Schmitt, Grant Gustafson,
Richard McLaughlin, Graeme Milton, Sasha Balk, and Ken Golden.
