DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Srikanth Iyengar\, University of Utah\n\nI will discuss a conjecture of Huneke and Wiegand having to do torsion in tensor products of modules over one dimensional Gorenstein domains, and a recent counter-example to that conjecture discovered by Codex. The talk will partly be based on this manuscript
