No PostScript Type 1 fonts are provided in Sun SunOS 4.x or earlier.
The directory /usr/openwin/lib/fonts contains outline font files in binary .f3b (encrypted scalable OpenFont binary), .ff (X11/NeWS font family), and .fm (X11/NeWS bitmap font) formats, but I'm unaware of any software (outside of proprietary internal Sun Microsystems utilities) that can convert .f3b files to .pfa (PostScript Font - ASCII) format. The Sun Solaris 2.x makebdf utility can extract Adobe Font Metric file information from .f3b files, but it is not available under Sun SunOS 4.x.
