About me
I am a professor at The University of Utah (I started in Fall 2014). Previously, I was at PSU and Michigan.
I study local behavior (singularities) and global behavior (such as vanishing theorems) in birational algebraic geometry in positive characteristic, characteristic zero, and—increasingly—mixed characteristic.
My work lies on the boundary between commutative algebra and algebraic geometry .
