Text: Brown & Churchill, Complex Variables and Applications 7th ed., McGraw Hill 2004 Calculator: A calculator is not required for the course, although it may be useful for some homework problems. No notebook computers or wireless devices are allowed during exams. Homework: Homework problems, assigned weekly, are typical of what you'll be asked on exams. Homework listed for Thursday and Tuesday is due the following Thursday. Homework may be handed in up until Friday afternoon when the grader goes home, which is about 6:00 pm. LATE HOMEWORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THAT TIME. Exams: There will be two in-class full hour midsemester exams on Thurs., Feb. 16 and Thurs, Mar. 30. The final is Fri., Apr. 28, 10:30 AMÐ12:30 PM. Half of the Þnal will be devoted to material covered after the second midquarter exam. The rest will be comprehensive. Students must take the Þnal to pass the course. Grades: The final grade will be based on the following score: Two midquarter exams (40%) + homework(30%) + Þnal score (30%).
