Grading Homework: To be assigned weekly. Midterms: There will be three one-hour midterm exams on Feb. 3, Mar. 3, and Apr. 7. Final Exam: Tue., May 3, 8:00-10:00 AM. Half of the final will be devoted to material covered after the third midterm exam. The other half will be comprehensive. Students must take the final to pass the course. Course grade: Best two three midterms 30% + homework 45% + final 25%. Withdrawals: Last day to drop a class is Jan. 19. Last day to add a class is Jan. 24. Until Feb. 4 you can withdraw from the class with no approval at all. After that date you must petition your dean's office to be allowed to withdraw.
