Schedule: Summer Geometry Workshop for Teachers
A typical day in the program:| 9:00-9:30 | Breakfast with colleagues |
| 9:30-12:30 | Teachers' Circle - part of the day devoted exclusively to mathematics. Possible topics include: circles, inversions, hyperbolic and spherical geometries, surfaces and their higher dimensional relatives, fractional dimensions, and trees. |
| 2:00-3:30 | Discussion of methods for and practice of teaching geometry will be initiated by animations and videos. |
| 3:30-4:00 | Show and tell: Teachers will present their favorite geometry lessons (technology, investigations, etc.) |
| 4:00-4:30 | Tea |
| 4:30-6:00 | Lesson plan study: we will break into three groups according to grade level and/or topic of interest. The outcomes of these discussions will be shared with all groups on the last day of the workshop. |
